I've been a writer since I could pick up a pencil or a pen, a crayon or a stick in the dirt. With a career that has taken me through magazine features, corporate communications and a snarky, weekly newspaper column, three plus years living in Saudi Arabia made me a playwright. My first full-length stage play, Potato Gumbo, written in the Middle East, has had a number of successful and profitable productions, been selected for the Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence and was considered for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Raised on the Texas Coast, I'm an actress, director, producer, crew and board member with community theatres wherever I live. Currently I live in Midland, Michigan where I think it is far too cold.
